Many believe that a thousand years ago Ryomen Sukuna was defeated and that he later revived thanks to his fingers... but the real story is much darker.
In the Heian era, Sukuna was an unstoppable disaster. His power was so absurd that all the wizard clans decided something never seen before: join forces to destroy him. It wasn't a simple fight. It was practically a war. A huge army of sorcerers was launched against Sukuna, including about twenty special-grade sorcerers.
The result? A carnage.
One after another, they all fell down before him. No one could stop him. But after killing all of his enemies, something unexpected happened: Sukuna got bored. There was no one left strong enough to challenge him.
That's when Kenjaku showed up.
They both made a pact. Instead of continuing to live in an era without rivals, Sukuna decided to “disappear” and prepare his return for the future. To achieve it, Kenjaku divided his soul into twenty parts, sealing them inside his famous fingers turned into cursed objects.
