Scientists in Thailand have discovered a rare spider, Damarchus inazuma, that is half male and half female.
Found in the forests of western Thailand, the spider shows a rare trait called gynandromorphism, where male and female features appear on opposite sides of its body.
The species was named after Inazuma, a gender-fluid character from One Piece, because the spiderβs split appearance mirrors the characterβs ability to change sexes.
Its unusual orange-and-white coloring makes it look almost like a tiny βFrankensteinβ spider.
